THE HISTORY: Sephora has partnered again with the Skin Cancer Foundation to help raise awareness about the damaging effects of the sun ($20 from the sale of each kit benefits the organization). What began as a five-product collection sold in a sandwich-style bag seven years ago has morphed into a comprehensive sun-protecting kit of some of the best sun protection—from 18 different top beauty brands.
THE INSPIRATION: “We wanted to show that there are different and beautiful ways to protect skin from the harmful rays of the sun,” says Associate Skincare Merchant Cassie Cowman. “We sold out of the kit last year and helped to raise over $500,000 for the Skin Cancer Foundation. This year, we’re aiming to do the same and raise even more money.”
